Rice Warmers

Similar to the handwarmers I posted ages ago; these are my latest method to combat the cold. I heat them up in the microwave for about 30 seconds; any more and you risk burnt rice smell

Cotton Batting Mushrooms

Got the idea from Martha Stewart and her employee Hosanna Houser in one of her recent shows; though she has a rough tutorial at her website.
Wrapped batting around cardboard form with extra for roundness on top.

Used a suprising amount of white paint.

All paint though to add the glitter I used a spray adhesive...
Should have worn gloves; glitter and glue remnants were not fun to remove from my fingers.

Also I used cardboard from a pop 12 pack while Mom used a mac & cheese box instead of the chipboard Martha suggests.

Still haven't finished this little guy; it's on my to-do list for Solstice.

Ornament

My ornament I made from an extra of Mom's. Details are on her post. She got the idea from Crafty Crow.

Crocheted Snowflake

A crocheted snowflake from Martha Stewart's magazine years ago.I plan on making all four but the patterns take concentration. Then I need to block them bleck... Have other patterns I want to try too.... maybe after Christmas is over.

Granny Square Blanket

As of right now these are the color combos of my granny square blanket, I have about 50 squares and calculated that I need about 195 to make it lap quilt sized... So many ends ugh. At some point I'll take a picture of all my squares but for right now I'm concentrating on Christmas...

Christmas Spoilers!!

I didn't realize just how much I've made until I took pictures of most of it... some will have to be photographed on Christmas Day because I realized I didn't have a picture just as I finished wrapping it...

Knit these all through my classes this quarter, took a suprising amount of time.
 Kroy sock yarn

First time I made a toy with the 'correct' knit stitch, also has my first pompom as its tail. I plan on adding clothing at some point.. Pattern by Fuzzy Mitten

My first hat knit in the round...
It turned out well but I might try it on 3s next time.
Pattern by Fuzzy Mitten for her toys.

As of Yesterday...

Today!
Dad wants navy socks for Christmas; I really don't see how the 2nd will be done in time. Only one ball with little bit extra left over!!
It has a minimum of 72 stitches around and with a pick up gusset of 25sts I thought I was going slowly mad and blind. Knitpicks Stroll Yarn, very nice to work with no splitting and soft.
