Ashton Shawl In Progress

I'm working on the free Ashton Shawlette by Dee O'Keefe and I'm midway through the third chart...

I'm knitting this on size 6 needles with Malabrigo Sock in the Archangel colorway.

Wool Top 4 ounces!!

My first 2 ounces of wool top singles. It spun wonderfully and was lovely soft to spin.

All plied up...
I used Storied Yarn's tutorial to find out the sizes of PVC pipe to cut and the end caps just pop off which makes taking the skein off after I add the ties much easier...

This is before washing and thwacking; but I had 492 yards of a light fingering to lace weight out of 4 ounces of wool top. I still have 12 ounces of this top to spin but I don't know if I want to dye some of it before I spin it...

Mom's Feather & Fan

I finished Mom's Feather & Fan scarf in Knitpicks discontinued Shimmer in the colorway Galaxy. I blocked it on Boxing Day with some Soak which was interesting to use. I was surprised by the amount which the dye bled in the water but it rinsed out fine and took up about 6 of my blocking mats end to end...

Sherbet Fingerless Mitts

I finished these quite a while ago but I realized I haven't taken photos yet...

These are some of my favorite finger less mitts for their fit and these were knit on size 2 needles with a discontinued colorway of Knitpicks Felici Sock...

Amethyst Heather, 4 oz!

Finished my first 4 ounces spun on my spinning wheel! I had a bit of a learning curve making sure tension was correct with the drive band and my bobbin; along with the speed of my spinning; and how often to change the hook (it helps to place the singles on a particular place on my bobbin).

This is Knitpicks Roving Wool of the Andes: Amethyst Heather 276 yards! of what I would guess to be mostly a mid-fingering. (Knitpicks has decreased the amount of fiber sold by 1/2 an ounce in a single purchase since I bought it)

I really liked my tension in the later 3 ounces...
I discovered once I plied my yarn that I would need a niddy noddy to wind my yarn into a skein which I ended up making out of a tutorial for PVC pipe....

Jenny Lake Shawlette

I finished my Mini Mochi 198 Yards of Heaven Shawl! (Details are in my in-progress post)

I love the stitch definition and softness it has although I wish it was a bit bigger. I can use it as a small scarf with a shawl pin but I probably could have finished the second repeat because I had a few yards left...
