Shalom Cardie Take Two

I decided to try this pattern once more.
My previous shalom out of worsted weight fits Em better than I so she is enjoying it.

I knit this closer to pattern with the original amount of ribbing; although I did not bind off as many stitches for the sleeve caps and I ignored the waist shaping.
This was knit on size 10.5 needles with four balls of Knitpicks Full Circle Bulky; colorway Quarry.

Tri-Color Cowl

Another cowl utilizing the Poplar cowl stitch pattern.
This time over 100 stitches on a size 5 needle.

Love this and all the yarn was leftovers from my Color Affection.
Life's been crazy busy and I've just been re-united with my camera & the sun : )

Pansies & Spinning

Our garden center is open so we've slowly started to get some pots together for the front stoop. The frosts during the night make it hard to plant everything just yet.

Spinning progression of the first 2 ounces of a Woolgatherings Polwarth braid...
The prep is phenomenal...

It's spinning really fine but I can't wait to see how this will ply up...

First Color Affection

I finally broke down and bought the Color Affection pattern by Veera Välimäki. It's really addicting and I can't wait to knit another  once I can decide on the colors to use : )

I actually finished this (including blocking) in 15 days!
It's huge so it really doesn't fit into one shot.
I admit I was more monogamous so all my knitting love tended to go into this.

This was knit on size 6 needles with Knitpicks Stroll with colorways Thunderhead, Summer Blooms, & Deep Waters Tonal.

Corcus & Fingerless Mitts

Bulbs are up in the lovely sunshine : )

Finished a pair of fingerless mitts for the cold mornings with my standard pattern on size 2's.

I've found out that Regia (Garden Effects colorway: 03304) is not for me.
I love the colors and stability of the yarn but my tension creates lots of twist in the yarn which slowly drives me batty.

My Pretty Picot Pattern

My Pretty Picot Shawl Pattern is available above & on Ravelry!

It is available as a PDF/ Google doc in Portrait & Landscape for easy viewing on paper and tablets.

I should start one with some of my handspun....

Oil Slick Cowl

I enjoyed my previous project in Arucania's Nuble so much I bought a second skein in the same colorway and made a basic cowl. The pattern is based on the Poplar Cowl I've made before with a lower stitch count (130?).

This is knit on a Chiagoo size 5? circular, 18" cable.
Lovely drape and so soft.
