Ashton Shawlette

My finished Ashton shawlette by Dee O'Keefe was much bigger than I expected; it's much more of a shawl than a shawlette.

This blocked out very nicely and was very fun to knit. It's amazing how the colors change depending on the type of light it's nearby.
This was Malabrigo Sock in the Archangel colorway on size 6 needles.

Simple Ribbed Hat

This was knit with a skein of the discontinued Stonewash colorway of Knitpicks Swish Tonal on size 7 needles.

This is a make-shift pattern of my own (CO 56sts, knit 2x2 ribbing for 2", knit 4x2 ribbing until it's the height of my hand, decrease every other row until about 6sts remain, thread through remaining stitches and pull tight.)

Simple Darts Shawl

Loved this project from start to finish. This is bigger than my other 198 yards of Heaven shawl (by Christy Verity), I actually did 3 1/2 repeats of the main shawl chart instead of what the pattern calls for. It's soft and kind of delicate because this is a single ply yarn.

I used one skein of Araucania's Nuble (about 230 yards) and still had a bit left over. Beatiful color changes; I've actually started a long-term cowl project with another skein of this in about the same colorway...

Raspberry Cowl

This yarn is was a Christmas present this year. It's one ball's worth of Crystal Palace's Sausalito in the Mediterranean colorway (8108). Each ball has 198 yards so two could conceivably make a nice shawlette. It's very soft and drapey to wear which is nice.

I knit this with a size 3 Chiaogoo 16" circular which was fabulous because it eliminated the trouble of keeping 130 stitches on 3 double pointed needles. The pattern is the Baby Camel Cowl by Phreadde Davis; which is a free download on Ravelry.
This is a charted pattern and I did not follow everything as written. I left off the provisional cast-on and the edging chart. I did the same amount of garter rows that you would do to for the upper edging. Before it was blocked it looked very little like the photos in the pattern and I was confused at several points because I didn't realize the Yarn Overs don't always match up from row to row.
