I actually started the first of these in Bear Lake but as these are 72 stitches around progress has been slow. I'm hoping to get these done before Dad's B-day...
The yarn in Patons' Kroy Socks colorway Grey Brown Ragg on size 3 needles.
Went to a farm for a fiber festival a few weekends ago and saw they were harvesting their pie pumpkins. It's getting so cold now I have to start layering the knitware... Finally my sweaters can be worn : D
The picot bind took an epic amount of time 5+ hours but it blocked out really nicely...
This is the Holden Shawlette by Mindy Wilkes which is a free pattern download on Ravelry. I knit it on size 6 needles and used about 3/4ths of a skein of Knitpicks Shadow, 100% merino wool in the Summer Blooms Tonal colorway. I absolutely loved this yarn, it is very soft and squishy.
I'm loving the free game apps and reading library books for free, along with Gutenburg books which is a site with free downloadable books after their copyrights run out.
I wanted to make my own cover (99 cents vs $40+) : )
I used a sheet of plastic canvas, some toy stuffing I already had and a polar fleece remnant from when I made Gizzy a bed.
I figured out the general length I would need for a cover then cut out double the length. This allowed me to have a thicker cover and made an easy place for me to put the canvas and stuffing.
Finished this lovely a while ago now, but I've just now uploaded pics..
This is my pattern (which is still being test-knit) and it was knit on size 3s, and 2 skeins of Regia 4 color Kaffe Fassett Design line sock; colorway: ember (04455).
My current socks on the needles. It's Supersocke 100 Emotion IV- Color with bamboo, super wash merino, nylon, and polyamid colorway 1375. I have to be careful not to get ladders because the yarn doesn't want to stick together... I'm knitting on my size 2s once more...
This was a very easy knit which I enjoyed immensely. It's the (free!) Good Luck Cowl on Ravelry by Christianne Gerstner. Even though the pattern said that it needs 200 yarns I still had a full color repeat left. It's long enough that I can pull it up to my nose and still be warm all down my neck.
Once it gets cold I might snap another pic.
I have some leftover Knitpicks Imagination that I'm going to try this pattern in next...
I finished! I added 18 more points for length but I also haven't blocked it for extra length. I used three full skeins of Knitpicks palette colorway Whirlpool although I cracked into the 4th ball for the last three repeats. The pattern was in this year's issue of Jane Austen Knits by Interweave and the designer is Joanna Johnson.
I can't wait for the weather to cool so I can actually wear it : )
Sorry for the slight blurriness Em took the pic and it was an interesting photo session...
