Strawberries

Our strawberries have been ripe for about a week or so and we have to keep chasing out an adorable baby bunny from the strawberry beds.
I think in another week or so the black raspberries will be ripe!

Roses & Jam Jars

Roses are blooming gloriously

I have a new use for my old jam jars : )

They make wonderful floating vases.

Slowly Spinning

The photo is a little lighter than in real life; the single is turning out to be a deep indigo/sapphire with hints of teal, navy blue and a hint of green.

Most of my time is being taken up with a secret squirrel project and new socks ...oh and I have an inprog. rug to show you and and I better finish up the last of the photos before I fall totally behind : )

Lots of things are in bloom right now and I thought I would share some of my favorite pictures...

Ball Onions

Bridal Wreath

Day Lily

Foxglove

Knock-out Rose

Pink....

More updates soon with photos from recent trips to Garden Centers, the Garden is starting to produce things, and I have lots of projects to share/show in-progress.
I can't wait to finish processing them all...

Morning Glory Sweater Progress

I'm trying to figure out my first sweater and I've just finished my first sleeve. I couldn't believe how big it seemed at its widest...

It hasn't been blocked but I think it will fit correctly.
I've just finished the ribbing of the second and I've made some calculations based on the balls I have left and I think I'll have to order more yarn.... : )
This is Knitpicks' City Tweed DK weight in Morning Glory.
My sweater is a simple saddle shoulder which I'm tweaking to get the right size because go figure my gauge always has a 0.5 stitch difference whether I go up or down needle sizes.

Garden Update

Our snow peas have taken off I think they really like the cool weather.

Black raspberries are going to be really plentiful this year I hope I'll be able to keep up...

Our strawberries are going nuts and a few are just starting to turn red

The red raspberries are coming too; I'll be interested to see how long these produce. Last year it was too wet where they were planted.

We have blueberries!
Three of our bushes are showing little green blueberries....

Mini Cowl

The remnants of the skeins from my Poplar Cowl...

I love the stitch definition the single ply gives and the alpaca makes it nice and warm : )

Snowball

When the blooms first come out they're a light green like some hydrangea bushes...

Lacy Leaves

I've started another project...
This is actually just a portion of a larger free scarf pattern by Tahki Stacy Charles where I'm only knitting the Twin Leaves section.
I love how quickly the repeats go and my yarn is soo soft; more details once I get a bit further...
