Miniature Accessories

I wonder if those socks are handknit?

I wish they made more sewing machines this colorful

Awesome travel sticker

This was so small; Mom thought it was a variant of Ohio Star

A crazy quilt is on my eventual to do list...

Berry Patch Socks

These just flew off of my needles.
I love how soft they are and the fact that they're superwash.
Both of the socks were made out of one hank and I'm currently working on a pair of mittens from the remainder of the same ball!
I knit these on size 2 needles with Knitpicks' Berry Patch Stroll Handpainted yarn.

Nevermore Leggings

I wanted a plain free leggings pattern but couldn't find one; so I ended up making up my own.
I knit these on size 7 needles with Knitpicks' Wool of the Andes Tonal, colorway Nevermore. I think that colorway is being discontinued; at any rate it's on sale...

These were a two day knit though now that I've gotten a hang of the pattern any later pairs may be faster.
It was quite a switch to go from fingering weight yarn to worsted on dpn's.

Doll Auction

I've finally uploaded my photos of the Doll Auction Mom & I went to a few weeks ago. These are some of my favorites...

Love her moulded face.

A colonial couple.

Love her sundress.

A carved Noah's Ark set...

Mom liked this monkey.

This bear reminds me of a Steif Winnie the Pooh.

Evangeline & Escort

I thought this bear looked sort of like an Ewok...

She looked very fragile.

I've never seen one of these in person before...

A member of a Humpty Dumpty Circus

A Humpty Dumpty Clown. He's actually one of the only non scary ones I've seen.

Here there be Dragons...

Happy Chinese New Year!

Mom, Em, & I made paper lanterns out of scrapbook paper & hung them on a light strand...

More Cowls

Same pattern as my previous cowls; if I'm lucky it's a 2-day project.
Two balls of Knitpicks' Imagination colorway Loch Ness.

I love having options in color but still staying lovely warm.

One and a 1/4 balls of Knitpicks' Imagination. I'll have to look up the colorway I'm not sure at the moment. Same standard pattern.

I'm slowly taking photos when the weather/camera/energy level all coincide.
There's still a major backlog of projects I'm afraid.

Ladybugs...

My stitch markers. I can't wait to use them again.
I used these for the last 1/3 of my Feather & Fan shawl.
The blue contrasted nicely with the pink and red.

Em's Prezzies

Made a cowl for Em out of Knitpicks' Imagination, an alpaca, wool, and nylon blend.
I think the colorway is wicked witch but I'm not sure.
Granny stripe is by Attic24 and the flower was in Molly Makes a few issues ago.

Granny mandala is Crochet with Raymond's and a free tutorial is available.
To get the mandala in an embroidery frame I've found it takes quite a bit of patience and it helps if it's blocked.
The flower was also made with Molly Makes' pattern.

All the solid yarn is various colorways of Knitpicks' Palette; a 100% fingering weight wool.

Solstice Gifts

Made these for Mom

Em's

These were so much fun to make and so long as you have basic beading supplies it goes really fast. I used 9mm jump rings mainly because most of the projects we work on are done on fairly small needles.

Supplies:
  •  9mm jump rings (this is what goes on your needle so make sure they will slide comfortably)
  •  Interesting beads
  • Headpins (I just used the basic pin but there are swirls, fleur de lis etc. too)
  • Beading pliers (I used flat nosed but some people prefer the rounded)
  • Beading wire cutter to cut the excess headpin metal off (you could use scissors but this will dull the blades and could leave sharp edges)

Depending on how well the jump ring closes there can be a small gap which yarn can catch in.
I know you can weld/smelt? the jump rings closed but I like the security of being able to open them if I accidentally knit them in... : )
