Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope you have a filling and sunny Thanksgiving : )
Let's hope the Autumn weather holds for just a little while longer.

I'm in charge of the veggie platter.
Our garden carrots; they'll be well washed I promise.

In Progress......

This will eventually be a pillow cover for a boulster pillow, I just need to make up the main body of it first.
The ends are Crochet with Raymond's granny mandala pattern; and I plan on using Attic24's granny stripe for the main body.

This is becoming a Multnomah shawl; basically its garter stitch with a feather & fan border. The pattern is free on Ravelry and is fairly straightforward. I first saw a version of this shawl when My Sister's Knitter completed hers and I was inspired to save the pattern. Last weekend Mom, G., Em, & I went to the Yarn Shop in Columbus & I found the perfect yarn. It's Jojoland Melody superwash colorway: MS43.
The colors are a lot more interesting in person if you can believe it...

I think this catches me up with all my projects...for now : )

Flower Fun

Made this up last night out of some buttons, linen, and embroidery hoop and Knitpick's Palette & Imagination.

I do like how this turned out as it was relatively simple but looks time consuming...

The spirit of the flower pattern can be found in a issue 3 of Molly Makes.

Purplely Cowl

Saw the colors of this yarn and immediately thought of G.
If you remember my New Scarf from ages ago which I made out of my granny square blanket scrap it's the same pattern/ CO. At the end you just sew the ends together; in fact that's what I ended up doing with my remnant scarf.
It does take about two balls of sportweight yarn.

The technique is based on Attics24's Granny Stripe except you don't change colors.

Fairytale Redwork

I've finished my redwork designs that I started a while ago...
Mom's decided that she'll teach me the French knot stitch because of how I created the dots in these. (They're made by making a teeny triangle of three stitches...)
This picture is approximately life size : )

The designs were published in a back issue (3) of Molly Makes and the templates can be found HERE.
I'm thinking a runner of some kind with '30's fabrics...

Scrap Sock Yarn Blanket Progress

Six by Six!
I'm accumulating more yarn to use in this blanket than I am using it up... : )

Mittens

Well I finished these on Monday I think but this is the first real sunny day.
I think next time I'll decrease the thumbs a little differently.

Awkward angle I know.

These were knit on size 2 needles with Knitpicks Stroll discontinued colorway: Lilypad.
I think I've figured out the afterthought thumb now; we'll see as I make different sizes. Each mitten took approximately three fragmented days to knit.
I love how warm they are...

Ok, I based my pattern on Tanis Lavallée's Grammy's Mitts pattern; free on Ravelry.

Circular Mandala Cushion

I've been wanting to make a circular pillow for some time now; and found a pattern I liked by Crochet with Raymond. It can be found HERE.
This didn't take long at all and is just the right size for a couch or nap pillow.

The form is made out of polar fleece and stuffing then attatched the mandala through back hoops except the hole stitch which I left open for the edging.
The edging is my pattern which can be found Above; or HERE.

Mittens!

I finally found a simple mitten pattern that I liked the shape of!
Unfortunately it was for worsted and I kinda sorta ended up making up my pattern as I went. I'll find the links for the original & where I found it by the time I finish the second mitten.

Luckily I wrote down what I was doing and they actually fit.
I'm working on the second mitten now.
The yarn is Knitpicks Stroll? yarn of a discontinued color Lilypad?
Very quick and fun.

Feather & Fan Scarf

Love how my scarf turned out!
The pattern (Old Shale Scarf) is free by Tiennie & can be found HERE.
The yarn I'm using is a favorite; Patons' Kroy colorway Blue Striped Ragg
(I used this for my Nautical Socks)

I used the full two balls of yarn and it turned out just the right size.
I was amazed by how many pins this needed. I think I used two pins for each repeat...
Once it's sunny again I'll try for a photo as it should be worn for an idea of size.

Late Autumn

Our garden is slowly getting prepped for Winter and next Spring.
This years carrots nice and fresh : )
Started this lamb before Easter and just found/finished it a few weeks ago.
Lots of posts to come...
