End of May Garden Update

Our potatoes have grown so big you can't see our Buckeye Gnome anymore!

Our green beans are getting tall; towards the end of June we'll start having an overload of beans.

The Potatoes are flowering...

Carrots and Lettuce can be weeded now that the ground isn't in a soup.

Our starwberries are becoming ripe; we get about five each morning.

I have a feeling that by the end of summer we'll be thoroughly sick of sweet peas. Our fridge is getting incredibly full.

Granny Square Pillow

G's transplanted day lily is blooming; we've been spraying it religiously with deer repellent.

This is Knitpick's Shine sportweight yarn.
I love how soft and heavy it is.

I used fleece for the actual pillow; it was sheer luck that it matched.
I don't know if I'll add more of a border later or not.

Fun Flowers

Mom's new rose is so close to blooming we all can't wait.

Found this in our back yard; a bird must have dropped a sunflower seed into the knot.
The Fam has been betting on whether or not it'll flower.

Granny Square Blanket

I've finally finished enough to post!
I figure I have another column and row to do before I start crocheting them together.

Garden

Our Snow Peas are blooming already and are about a foot tall already.
The Garden is so muddy from all the rain that you almost need waders.

Our potatoes shot up so much we had to raise the bed to keep them covered.
We also have lots of green strawberries coming...

Berry Bliss Progress

I'm just about ready to turn the heel of my second sock.
I'm loving this colorway it just seems to zoom along.

I love on the second sock you don't need to measure with a ruler.
I compare with the first sock which, yeah, means I'm carrying a finished sock in my purse; but I figure if that's the weirdest thing in there I'm pretty lucky.

By the time winter comes back I'll have enough socks to keep my feet warm : )

Mallard Family

Cute family I saw in the pond.
I love the coloring of Mallard babies.

Pops of Color

Thought I'd take a picture of the iris before the rain ruins it.

I don't usually like pinks; but with this one I'm loving the ruffled layers.

Raspberry Blooms

All our raspberries are starting to flower.
I hope they won't get flooded out with all the rain.

Quiet

I'm not entirely sure how fast I'll be able to update through the rest of May.
I've got writing coming out of my ears and just sitting in the sun is going to be in short supply.

But in the meantime look at the pretty flowers : )

Bunny Love

Miss Clover is getting bigger.
She's still really affectionate and investigating every change around her.

Cinnamon-Bun, he's tolerant of petting but is always suspicious of how long he's going to be held this time.

Berry Bliss Socks

Alrighty I planned on photographing these before but; look at the pretty colors...
It is Red Heart Heart & Sole colorway: Berry Bliss.
Technically I'm on the ribbing of my second sock but the weather isn't cooperating for photos...

Happy Birthday Mom

Love the scent of these little bells.

Had a fun trip to Amish Country.
I have to admit I took a lot of photos of the baby animals...

Hope you had a fun birthday weekend : )

Garden Progress Report

From left to right, top to bottom: Potatoes, Spinach, Snow peas, and Strawberries.
The ground near the garden is becoming less boglike so pictures are now possible. We're busy planting and taking care of the rabbits, pictures coming soon. I've also started a new pair of socks....

Razzle Dazzle

Finally finished my Razzle Dazzle Socks. Once again they're Red Heart Heart & Sole.
It took a while for me to dowload my photos....

Granny Bunting

Finished it; I'm loving the colors : )

I'll see if the afternoon sun makes a difference; its rather cloudy today.

Razzle Dazzle Socks

I'm in the foot of the second sock but I must admit I'm a bit distracted with my other projects...

Flower Fun

All our dogwood trees are blossoming, so pretty : )

Love our crabapple tree.
I must have ten photos of its blossoms alone...

Lilacs are blooming too; mostly above my height.
I think I'll have to cut a few bunches for the house...

Granny Triangle Bunting

I haven't strung these but I did finish blocking them all last night. I first saw this pattern on Attic24 who got the tutorial from Crochet with Raymond. I'll be stringing them up today...

Happy May Day!
