Shawl

I was really surprised by this hank of Alpaca Cloud from Knitpicks the hank looks fairly small but took quite a long time to wind... After the photo was taken the hank had untwisted a bit and so I wound it too....For an idea of scale the ball is the size of a good baseball or softball.

I haven't made a true lace shawl before so I'm looking around at patterns; I'll post an InProg. picture as soon as I start.

Kiddy Socks

While I was finishing the crocus socks my little cousin was absolutely charmed, so I thought I would experiment with making some socks for her or her dolls, depending. I am trying to create these without a pattern... At any rate this is from the ball of sock yarn I knit the elefante from and the needle size is 0.

A size comparison.

Crocus Socks

Ok I have officially finished the Crocus socks for Mom and unbelievably they were all knit using one ball... I shall have a picture once they dry; Mom's already worn them and declared them very comfortable. My camera's lens broke and well picture taking has ground down to a very slow trickle as I have to borrow a camera...

Since I have that second ball of crocus yarn just sitting there... I have started a pair of socks for me using a different ribbing but same needle size as before because I believe the gauge was actually caused by my learning curve with stretchy yarn.

Roses

Blooming again...

Baby Robins

The baby robins still haven't left their nest but seem to be gaining mobility. As a side note the wisteria is blooming again and growing like crazy.

Zebra Mallow

Finished Pagoda

I'm really pleased with how this turned out though the fiddly bits got tiring after two sides.

Doll Rug

I wanted to experiment with felting so I roughly followed Wee Folk Art's tutorial for a doll house crocheted rug. And discovered that I have such tight tension that it won't shrink much but the smell of wet wool is not pleasant.

First Socks

A photo as promised.

Crocus Sock

I discovered after I finished the gusset and tried it on the sock was too large at the ankle. I outsmarted myself, I should have used the size 3 needles after all. Luckily it fit Mom's foot and so I only had a black hole of the foot to complete.

Granny Square Doll Quilt

I did finish the edging on the 4th though with Fam visiting pictures have been *cough* delayed. My camera lens malfunctioning certainly helped me drag my feet though.

We went on a hike through a state park and at the parking lot a butterfly attached itself to me. I walked around, shook my foot, brushed it off; it just fluttered right back on.

Happy 4th of July

I hope my granny square doll quilt will be finished today... I'm working on the edging.

Raspberries

Raspberries are still ripe, the daily picking has gotten old though. We're freezing the whole crop in hopes of making raspberry jam.
