No Peeking!

All done :)

My shoe pattern though I was inspired by Allsorts'. The mini mouse is the same pattern as the bigger dolls but sized down to an oddly... I think 37%

The mouse on the left and the doll to the left of her is Mom's... I'm not sure I like the doll's clothes on the right it was my proto-type to see if I could make clothes that would come off. Once again the pattern for the dolls and clothes is in Kata Golda's Hand-Stitched Felt: 25 Whimsical Sewing Projects.

Em's Easter Suprises

A mouse softie following the finger puppet pattern in Kata Golda's Hand-Stitched Felt: 25 Whimsical Sewing Projects, afterwards I just stuffed it and added a circle of felt to the bottom.

A modified verison of my chick pattern which as stated earlier is a smaller version of Anapaulaoli's chick pattern...

Recent Projects

My recent WIP wooden doll inspired by a magnet I saw at World Market and the Mushroom top on the thread was inspired the tutorial on Fantastic Toys for an egg top, though mine is needle felted and has roving under it so I can use it as a pin cushion...

Seedlings

Dad's seedlings are sprouting...slowly ugh

Guilt Free Cupcake

Our house is trying to cut down on sweets so I made this cupcake (mine!) with a cherry for a guilt free snack. :)

Dustbunnies!

A different color of the Dustbunny Pattern...

Easter Shh..

I'm making little things for Em's Easter hunt but I'm also making something for Mom *cough* and me. No Peaking!!!!

(Gizzy can't stand me taking a photo and not having him in it... mainly because he earns a treat if he's good)

Thank goodness I have until Easter to get these done.... and their clothes... and other small secret stuff... I'm going to be busy! :)

Catch up

A small bag I made to which I added a paper carnation from a tutorial.

My painting WIP

My scene postcard line... fun inspiration

Shadow Boxes

Finally got around to painting and decorating these.
The Top is a collection on sea shells from our trip South last summer and the Bottom is a diarama I made out of cardboard for the birds and chicks I was making.

Spring

The bulbs are finally coming up and we just got our first snow drop!

Dolls

Nursey
My first attempted human amigurumi which I made for Mom when she was sick recently. I created my own pattern for her; though I did base the hair on Owly's tutorial, which was very helpful.

Shots of my newest doll before I fully attatched the wig.

My WIP with her hair and body sewn on.

  • hdc2 in the slip knot and continue back down in hdc the other side, finishing with a sl st and leaving a tail to sew

Tail (White)

  • In the circular method (magic loop etc.) start with 6sc
  • Sc (6) sl st and leaving a tail to sew *Note: Do not stuff unless you are using a bulkier weight.

Trans Allegheny Books

Some photos I took while visiting Trans Allegheny, a used bookstore in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Known for its glass floors and spiral staircase, this bookstore was first built as a Carnegie library and is fun to explore. As I'm afraid of heights, this was quite the adventure, but the architechture made it more than worth it.
