Terrarium

New Terrarium I just couldn't wait to share, I need to make some things to put in it :)

Sleepy Puppy

After seeing this cutie on Fuzzy Thoughts I just couldn't resist and made one of my own. My yarn was a little bigger than called for, but I don't think it changed the puppy too much. :)

Heart Strings

After seeing this free pattern for a 3-D heart, I got all inspired to make a whole string like the birds in World Market. After finishing this project I think I'll stop making hearts for a while. I used a D hook and fingering weight yarn from Knitpicks, along with three random beads between each heart and a full strand of whitish embroidery floss.

Another string of hearts, all felt from the pattern on Creative Breathing.

Another Bird Post

Spring just can't come soon enough :)

This is a free pattern from Creative Breathing to which I added wings. I'm dreading using satin stitch to create the eyes; I'll probably end up using felt and sewing them on. :) I'm also contemplating adding feet of some kind, though how I would construct those out of beading wire I'm not sure....

For the Birds

A few weekends ago now Mom finally showed off this great yarn shop she found in Columbus, The Yarn Shop, it actually has two locations but we went to the one in the Kenny Centre which is near a good cross stitch store and a Hana gift store which has a lot of Hello Kitty and imported Japanese stuff.

Back on subject I finally found out what the remnant I bought in Iowa is, apparently it is a corn and nylon blend, it makes very cute birds so I indulged and bought two balls. The pattern I used was Ana Paula's chick pattern but I created the wings, tail, and crest. I thought they were so cute I made a miniature chick which is only based on her pattern but adjusted for size.... I plan to make a whole tree display of them... so cute and so appropriate for Valentine's Day....

Design This Design That

This is an online version of a really nice magazine with current toy artists, though it has been on the internet since 2008.... I thought I would give the link to give a little inspiration in all the grey weather.
