This is very similar to the gingerbread house I made for Mom though the base box hasn't been as modified as Mom's though it did get more painting details.With my natural talent for taking a project and making it helplessly complicated I decided to make a slate roof; and then in a moment of brilliance, decided that I wanted each tile to not touch a tile of the same color.
It took me two days to finish that roof.
Luckily the chimney had fewer bricks that touched. :) I had ooddles of fun painting the windowboxes... in fact it was the part that I was really excited about from the beginning.

Christmas
Just a quick update, I was working on christmas presents all through Christmas Eve so I'm taking a break for a few days though I have made plans to take all photos and update. :) Now only to get a sunny day to actually take the photos of all the prezzies.... I'm also going to rest my fingers for a few days and curl up with some of my Christmas presents. Here's to great holidays and family time; I hope your holidays were as great as mine. :)
